Hi Deb...
Way cool! My B&W was a little under $200 from eBay.

Bruce started out about the same with a little more ram and OS 8.6. (Yes,
all my computers have names!)

I'm not sure about your ram, tho' I know the B&W is supposed to need minimum
PC100 modules (PC133 is supposed to be okay). I have a couple of PC133's in
mine and have no problems.

I still have the original CD drive, but run an Iomega external burner from a
USB 2.0 pci card.

Hard drives... The Rev.1 board =can= cause problems! I ran a Maxtor 60GB and
a Hitachi 120GB from the internal IDE controller for over a year without a
hitch. Then the Hitachi failed. Eh... the Rev. 1 bug I thought, but the
replacement drive Hitachi sent me died in less than 3 months. <grumble>
Right now I just have the Maxtor (2-30GB partitions) in the B&W and we're
just fine. (Hitachi replaced the second dead drive with a new generation
250GB. I'm using that in a wintel box since the Mac couldn't see the whole
thing.)
I also have an Advansys scsi card that is supposed to work in a Mac, but I
can't get the drivers to work with it.

Have fun! ;)

OS X 10.3.8 (No, no 8GB thing going on there) :)
1024 MB ram
60GB IDE drive
USB 2.0 PCI card
External 52x24x52 CD burner
