I went to that site, and it talks about moving to another partition instead of another hard drive, but I thought I would try it as suggested. After entering the following command: sudo ditto -rsrcFork /Users /Volumes/Hard Drive/Users where Hard Drive is the name of the new hard drive (I know, I am original), the hard drive grunted and whined away, but the Terminal never has returned the prompt after 19 hours and the drive every once and a while accesses a small amount but that is it.

I fear killing the Terminal app (it does not appear to be locked or frozen) or rebooting the Mac. I will take any suggestions. . . .

Thanks,
Troy

Okay, I am running a G4 Sawtooth machine with the RAM maxed out and
running 10.3.8. I just installed a new 120 GB hard drive in the
machine to serve as the data drive alongside the 18GB IBM original
drive.

My question is this:

How do I move my home directory to the new drive?

There are complete directions at <http://www.bombich.com>

Look in the OS Hacks section.

Have you run permissions? AppleJack 1.3.1.1 (<http://www.versiontracker.com/php/search.php? mode=basic&action=search&str=applejack&plt%5B%5D=macosx&x=15&y=8>) is a program that allows you to run permissions in single user mode (keys apple,s) without booting to the desktop. HTH.
