My Molar floppy troubles have nothing to do with OS X. Thanks to Mr. Gerstel and others for reminding me. Otherwise I might've tried this Mac here re: this.

This is probably the trouble. I've shot an airspray (can of air) at 'em.... Not real success yet. Oh, well. I have other floppy drives around here, from 6100s and 7100s, and if they'll work, no prob.
