I installed Panther on my Beige G3, 266 with 410 megs of ram and 2 megs

of vram and it ran just fine. I did not find it slow at all. You must use xpostofacto from Other World Computing and you must launch this from an OS 9 partition. Remember that OS X must be installed on the first partition and the partition must be less then 8 megs.
Hope this helps. I have upgraded to a G4 500mz,with
768 megs of ram and 6 megs of vram. Also installed a super drive.
