That's understandable. Your machine was built to run the Unix based system OSX. There's a lot of oldies mac users out there, mine are G3 333 and G3 400.
Now, what to do with all those if ALL people could afford the new ones? Should we just dump the old ones and leave them in the dust -I better not speak too loud my IIci is nearby, she could hear me. Maybe the old G3 users should NOT even convert to OSX, they should keep the early G3 native OS9 and save themselves the trouble maybe(?)... (well I dont fall in that category cause I am already running OSX). So if you want to run OSX you better get a G4 or G5, if not... forget it. You wont get accepted by the new groove society.

Oh, I forgot to mention, my first OS X machine was a Biege 333 tower. Started with 10.1, then went to Jag shortly after it came out.
