You're right about that. That feature disappeared in Jaguar but reappeared in Panther. That's the one feature I miss when I returned to Jag after using Panther through XpostFacto (I found Panther to be a little too heavy for my G3AIO molar). I understand after spending years using the old classic OS and learning how to get out of jams quickly it would be frustrating with the new way of doing things in X. It's a totally different OS (even though it has a familiar look). It's based on Unix, which gives it a totally different architecture. Crying about the "good old days" is not really helping (though I certainly understand the need sometimes to let off some steam). I for one never could get Classic to run on OS X, so I trashed it. I still have a lot of classic apps, which I intend to sell on ebay (already sold my old PageMaker). Can't live in the past forever, gotta move forward.
