Please remove this non-feature. It adds no functionality.
Maybe for you it is a "non-issue", but for many of us it is very 
helpful. Please don't presume to speak for everyone here.
Agreed. Please keep it.
I am on a number of lists, several Mac and 0one general computer, as 
well as car etc. Only three lacked ID headers, and I'm really glad 
the number is now down to 2.

We don't all want to muck around with filters.
PS - if you guessed that I receive well over 500 emails a day, you 
were correct.  At that level, filtering is not optional.
I get up to 300-odd daily, and find filters just a different kind of 
hassle. My mail server does a great job of weeding spam without 
catching "desired" mail, and I don't want to dig through 15 mailboxes 
just to check my mail.

They all do identify themselves in the header, just not in the 
subject which is the wrong place for it.
