Hey Deb the 2930cu card I got says right on it Mac, so I'm assuming that
it
is formatted for the Mac and that I shouldn't have any problems with it
once I
load the software or find the software.
Everyone so far has said the hard drive is easy but I'm at a lost because
I'm
not exchanging a hard drive, the unit came without one so I have to put
one
in and it looks as if the only choice I have is scsi via the 2930cu card.

Perhaps you can five me some pointers on what has to be done in order
to get
the DVD-RW in. Thanks for you reply and any and all help.

Hey Brad, that's good news! Hopefully I will be getting my 2930 card
soon so I can test it out.

Oh you can get the software from Adaptec here:

drivers_by_product.jsp?sess=no&language=English+US&cat=%2FProduct
%2FAPD-2930U&prodkey=APD-2930U

You have IDE, and depending upon your revision number you may have
scsi too. Somewhere on the lowendmac.com site there is a picture of
where you can find which revision you have, do a search for B&W
revision and you'll find it.

Here's a real nice photo instruction for putting in your CD/DVD drive:

I followed it and it worked fine.

Hope this helps!
