Well, it doesnt work for me on a beige running OS 9.1 and IE 5. Maybe I need an update. Mozilla is over 14MB. Thats about an hour and 20min for me to download it. Possible with planning.
A LOT of people are unable to load the pages. I don't know why some can and some can't. perhaps there's a conflict issue.
I have great difficulty, and I am using IE 5.1.5 & 5.1.7 on OS9.2 on my B&W.

What appears to keep getting lost in this thread (and also the previous time when this thread was being posted) is that the people having problems with PayPal and IE in OS 9 are on dial-up, IIRC.
So, the page loading problems seems to be related to slow connection speed as well as the other common factors. There's been apples and oranges comparisons here with people saying it "works for them" but fail to mention their type of internet connection, which I'd venture to guess may not be dial-up. AND all dial-up connections are not equal.
The "Text-Only Webpage" concept aside, and at the risk of entering the same slippery slope where this thread headed the last time, let's review all the common elements of the problem:

Everyone is welcome to draw whatever conclusion you may as to any actual solution.(Personally, I'd try one of the previously recommended optional browsers as a first step).
