Hello,
I recently bought a used eMac and I want to transfer programs from my G3-mt to it. I bought a network cable and connected the two computers as I was instructed. I understood that the HD from one computer would show up on the other. However, this is not happening. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Wilton

Under system preferences/network/sharing, make sure your personal file sharing is checked on both computers. Once that is enabled on both systems, you should be able to browse for the other system under finder/Go/Connect to Server. If the icon for your other system shows up there, just double-click it and mount your shared folder(s). This is all contingent on both systems running OSX. I don't use OS9 enough to know the procedure there.
