I have a stock Sawtooth 450 and I want to upgrade the AGP graphics card.
A couple of questions. What would be the best graphics card to get to max out the current processor? If I upgrade the processor would a different card be a better choice?
Dose anyone have any recommendations to get the most out of this old beast? Thanks in advance for any advice.
Choices for Sawtooth are limited because of its AGP 2X speed limit
Having said that, I think the best bang for the buck is a Radeon 8500. I have a dual-headed converted PC version that works just great in my Dual 450 Sawtooth, drives 2 monitors very well. The "genuine" Mac version is more expensive, but works fine too of course.
