A week or so ago I was lamenting to the list about the completely
non-functional condition of the Sony CD burner I'd just installed in my B&W
-- tried every jumper setting imaginable, plus assorted this & that, but
although Apple System Profiler saw it, nothing happened, so I took it out
and put the original CDROM back in. Could this recommended procedure with
the CUDA switch possibly work miracles?

Best,
Victoria
