I went through this on my Palm and just as you are, I suspected the
USB/serial adapter. Changing adapters made no difference. Upgrading
my Palm OS to 4.1 however, fixed the issue, can sync no problem now.
Running OSX 10.3.8 and a Palm IIIC with OS 4.1. Hope this helps.
Hi Jack -- I just went through a couple of days with the same problem
(generally, specifics a little different), and eventually fixed it
with a
soft reset on the Palm. If that doesn't work and you have your data
backed
up *someplace* a hard reset might do it.
HTH.
Best,
Victoria
Hi Victoria.....Thanks for the reply. Should have mentioned that I
tried
both a soft and hard reset but no joy. I suspect the Iogear serial/USB
adapter and am waiting delivery of an eBay Keyspan unit to try next.
