Does it seem to Anyone else; that since OSX.3 hit the streets
that All is being tied to the Apple site via Software Update?,
and moving away from allowing the straight downloads and
letting us pick n choose then install them ourselves from our
own DT at leisure, all the while requiring that each of our
Macs being fully config'd(call home?) and Net connected?
Or am I just stuck in the ways of yore?, and still wanting to
do it in my pat 'ol n somewhat ancient time proven ways?

That's why I now do all "Software Updates" by way of "Download to desktop" & then self install.

It also lets me keep the 'updates' for later use on other systems WITHOUT the 'timewasting' download/install of "Software Update".
