i find GraphicConverter to be good for cataloguing and manipulating photos, and i use VLC to play ripped DVD's, can't think of what i'd use instead of itunes tho. if i could find an open source version i'd be a happy bunny. if you do install iLife don't select GarageBand, it installs gigs of stuff your never use.

Hi All,

I have an iBook G4/800/256 - 12"-
I am looking to upgrade with DVD Burner, memory and a 7 port usb hub. I think I will purchase iLife at the Apple store in town- even though I will never use the garage band and iTunes, that seems to be the only way to get iPhoto and iDVD?
Any recommendations for good but inexpensive ones?

Thanks,

Danielle S.
