I've been booting all my Beige G3's (a DT & a MT) from PCI firewire
ports and external HD's using XPF. I recently bought a Sonnet ATA66
card that any attached drives as SCSI. I thought I could simply move my
external firewire HD to the internal ATA66 card, but it isn't
recognized. The Sonnet .pdf manual says that any HD must be initialized
on the Sonnet card. Is this true? If so, what a hassle. I may just sell
the card and stick with firewire if this is the case.
Thanks! Kris
