Hello,
I tried to work with my eMac computer that I've had for about three weeks. I couldn't get the monitor to light up. I disconnected the power plug, reconnected it and hit the on button.
The familiar bong sounded, but instead of the whole monitor lighting up, only a thin line in the middle lights up. I've heard of this but I've never had it happen.
What is the problem?
Thanks
Wilton
It's either no horizontal or vertical deflection, depending on whether the line is going up and down or across the monitor. If the line it going up and down, the problem is in the horizontal section and just a line going across is a vertical problem. If you can hook up an external monitor, try that and see if your display returns.
