I picked up a dirt cheap beige G3 Server Tower (really neat case) and upped the cpu to a 400mhz unit. So far so good. It's got OS 8.5.1 on it and is
really snappy. I popped a 32 meg ATI card into it and that's good,
especially with my 21" Nokia Monitor. I put a DVD ROM/CDRW drive in it and that's okay. I can do data DVD's fine but I don't have software for DVD movies on it. So far I've been happy with all my upgrades...next I want OS
X. Will I need any more hardware to get OS X to run on this?

Any input appreciated.

Seeing as how you didn't mention how much RAM the machine has, I'd say 256 Mb is the minimum you would need to run OSX. 10.2.x should run just fine on the system. I say 'should' because the beige monsters can sometimes be cantankerous (put that in your spell checker and smoke it!), when it comes to installing X. If your 32 Mb ATI card doesn't have a hardware decoder for the DVD's, you will need one of those for watching movies in anything less than X. HTH
