It sounds like each spacebar has it's own code.
Question: Is there a way to 'fix' it so that it's just a 'normal'
touch to backspace?
That would be a question for their tech department. As the spacebar
codes are unique, it should be possible. I agree that for speed and
accuracy it would probably work better to have the key instantly be a
backspace; all you can do is try any available hot key programs to see
if they recognize the separate space bars. Seems like they would have
mentioned this as an option if their software is written for it. Ask
them.
A more difficult scenario, though unlikely, is that the keyboard
"brain" handles this function. We'll hope it's not that. ;)
