Thanks for my laugh for the day. Next time I want a program with clean simple
interface that *doesn't work*, I'll know who to ask. :)
My claw hammer has a clean simple interface, but I'm not gonna use it to mow my
lawn. I admit, MT-NW isn't as pretty as it could be, but it works very nicely,
and is easy to use. And the price is hard to beat.
Gonna go try out Unison now, out of curiosity. Couldn't pay me to try Hogwasher
again.

Every newsreader has a learning curve. IMO, MT-NW's is one of the
easiest.
Compared to the ones I tried, it ranked worst in my opinion. True,
Hogwasher crashed when I tried to fetch messages, but it had a
cleaner, simpler interface.
