Hey all,

I just got a Mirror-Door 1ghz G4 to replace my beloved B&W G3. I was just going to plop the HD from the B&W into the MD, but that didn't work. So I saved my info, repartitioned and then reformatted the drive. Then, I reinstalled from a Carbon Copy disk image using Disk Utility on my Panther install DVD. The computer works great, I'm happy with the overall performance. I have 3 questions: 1. Is there a way to use the install DVD to add or remove any software without hosing the current installation?

Pacifist or do an archive&Re-install.

2. Am I missing the Altivec files since this restore was from a .dmg file made on my G3 system?

No.

How do I install it if so? 10.3.9 works great as is, but I was just wondering. 3. How do I get rid of the ATI drivers since this computer came with an NVIDIA card?

You don't. OS X is a monlithic install.
