The 100 and 133 stand for the max rate of the RAM. 100 = 100MHz.
Per http://www.lowendmac.com/ppc/g3c.shtml... Yosemite was the code name of the B&W design project. There are two revs of the motherboard, the second rev fixed a few things, the most often mentioned one was the problem with slave IDE devices. The B&W uses PC100 DIMM's, high density, max size of 256 megs per stick. Per www.crucial.com, compatible RAM has the following specs: * Module Size: 256MB * Package: 168-pin DIMM * Feature: SDRAM, PC100 * Configuration: 32Meg x 64 * DIMM Type: * Error Checking: Non-parity * Speed: 100 * SDRAM Timings: CL=2 * Specs: SDRAM, PC100 CL=2 Unbuffered Non-parity 100MHz 3.3V 32Meg x 64 One can try PC133 RAM, but it may or may not work, depending on the density of the memory (on RAM as old as this spec, it is something to consider). using 133 will not give any performance increase over 100 since the bus speed is 100, full stop, so mixing 133 with 100 doesn't matter. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
