In my experience (on a 400MHz Sawtooth) there is no need at all for a faster
CPU unless you play high-end games (little internet games run fine). What
OSX DOES need is a lot of ram, with 256 the absolute minimum and 512 far
more comfortable.
You also need a lot of disk space. Plan on having at least 4GB FREE,
meaning minimum of an 8GB drive if you plan on installing any software.

So I would say upgrade your processor, at least maybe 600MHz. Now, you
can probably swap to a sawtooth motherboard for the same price as a cpu
upgrade, and the sawtooth has much cheaper cpu upgrades available. And its
easy. If
