Ah, but this fails to answer the burning question (for me, anyway) -- is the
plural "Sawtooths" or "Sawteeth"? :0)

More seriously, as one who is watching older G4 prices drop quite a bit on
eBay since The Announcement (& yes, 40something still, I am drooling myself,
with anticipation of running X in style), I have a few questions:

What exactly is the advantage of having a single-processor Gigabit Ethernet
machine over a Sawtooth? I know, the Gb ethernet. But I'm not going to be in
a networked environment. And a dual-processor, if there is one. (You can't
put an MP proc from an MP in a Sawtooth, can you? What I've read says no.
Don't know about 3rd party upgrades...)

A Gigabit still has the x2 AGP. Quarta Extreme support begins at x4, right?
You have to go to a Digital Audio. for that. My documentation for 10.2.x
says x4 AGP & 32 MB card for QE. The Rage 128 Pro cards don't qualify,
right? If so, I probably should hold out for a DA, don't you think? This may
be my last new (to me) Mac, before the Changeover to Intel.
