Not sure about that....I bought AppleWorks 6 not long after it came out, when it had very few MacLink exporters and was not getting good press (some things don't change). It came with the Classic installer. I've been able to update my G3 B&W with it all the way to 6.2.8 under OS 9.2.2 and 6.2.9 under OSX, without any payment.
