I have an update. Using XPostFacto, I got it to boot the CD, and start to install OS X. Unfortunately, after going through the steps, it starts "Preparing the disk...", then skips right to "There were errors installing the software." I'm not quite sure what to do right now. I'm thinking of just moving anything important on the second HD to the first one, then trying again, this time having OS X format the second HD first.

That certainly can't hurt. I can't remember now, but X may require the partition it's installed on to be formatted as journaled, but I can't say for sure. I know 10.3 does, but not totally sure about 10.2.

Just a message from Doug...
