Mine is Epson SC740
The epson 740 and older models have parallel and serial interfaces,
if I
remember correctly. Your G4 hasn't got serial and the printer
connection is
usually usb. There may be workarounds/hacks like usb to serial
cables etc, but
your money would be better spent on a new printer with a usb
interface, as
almost all have nowadays.
The Epson Stylus Color 740 printer has three ports: Serial, Parallel,
and USB. It works well under OS X on a G4.
