I just didn't like the small size of the keys and the "Blackness" of
the Apple keyboard. I also didn't like that fact that I didn't have a
choice.

I forgot to mention that during the interim, I used a white "WINTEL"
usb keyboard until Apple came out with a white one. It worked OKay but
it didn't have the "Control, Option and Command" keys in a convent
location.

I had trouble with black keys too. The G4 Digital Audio I recently bought came
with a puck mouse with a ball and a black keyed MacAlly.

I found a guy on the web sellling refurbished white Logitech Internet Navighator
keyboards for about $15 with shipping. Mine came in the original box with the
software CD. Very clean, too.

The keyboard has a good feel, lots of buttons and a scroll wheel. There is no
software to support it in os 9 so you can't program the buttons and the Apple
and Option keys reverse function. Somewhere there is a hack to fix this.

However, the keyboard is fully supported in osX. The Apple and oiption keys are
where they belong. You can program the runction keys and all the other buttons
etc and the scroll wheel, on the left side of the keyboard, works fine. he
"user" key selects shut-down. It is very nice.

The only problem is that there is no power key, and the key combos usually used
at startup (option, C, etc) don't seem to work. You start the computer with the
button on the machine and you don't get to choose startup disk from the
keyboard.

For me, this was a good solution and the price was right.
