Could I hear from anyone out there who has successfully transplanted a Pioneer DVR-109 DVD/RW unit into a G4 667MHz tower? I just did this and seem able to get the drive to programmatically eject and close its drawer, but it seems unable to read any DVDs or CDs I feed it.
I have run through the "PatchBurn" process, but to no avail... Did I hear wrong (that this drive works OK, with some fixups)? Comments? Suggestions?
