Apples Disk Utility will create partitions when you format the drive.
There is a program out there, I do not remember the name, that will
supposedly partition a drive on the fly without reformatting it, but
that just sounds too risky for me.

This can be done with Prosoft DriveGenius, which is presently available from OWC at a special price.
