George,

I have IE 5.2.3 running Jag.

For the love of all that's holy, WHY??? That is the worst browser possible! Slow, out of date, feature poor, made by MS.

heh heh. I love your gentle, thoughtful chastising. 8^D

Repeat after me: 'Firefox' <http://www.mozilla.org>

Firefox is the way to go as far as browsers go in OS X.

I downloaded it a while back, but after the first time I used it, it started acting abysmally so I parked it. On the Virtual Desktop website, I noticed the newest version will be "fixed to work with Firefox". That would explain it, though I can't imagine why Firefox would have problems when IE and Safari do not.

Just tried Firefox on the iMac and it seems to work fine, and looks good. I'll have to look into resolving the conflict with VDT, as that's essential to my Happy Computing Experience

In the meantime, I'm becoming addicted to tabbed browsing in Safari and trying to decide whether I should upgrade to Tiger. (I know YOUR answer ;). However I can't print from Safari on my straight forward "modern" 1 GHz dualie. I'm printing to a USB connected Brother laser (in Jag). It fires up the printer and goes through the standard ritual (printer says it's "processing"), just doesn't print. Any ideas? BTW Safari didn't print even before VDT

But IE gives me almost perfect service, rarely crashes and has a lot of usable features. It's old and clunky and not my favorite, but so far does the best job (for me).

I pound on it daily, it rarely gives me any grief. (when it does, it's usually because it's been up a week or more.)
