Yep. It should be "low voltage differential" As you may know "high voltage differential" drives are rather antiquated. They allowed SCSI to operate over longer distances, but, required some expensive hardware. Hooking up one of those babies to your computer without the necessary equipment is a sure way to fry the motherboard.

 What I want to do is
RAID 2 on different channels, but one would then have to share a channel with an ultra 160 drive. It is my understanding that if these drives are LVD, they will not slow down the ultra160 drive. Could I RAID 2 drives on the same
channel?

I've done it before on the same channel. That's the way it's most often done, I imagine.
