Check this out, <http://www.lowendmac.com/ppc/g4-133.shtml> The short of it is , it depends. Apparently the CPU from the faster DAs, (667, 733mhz) won't work in the slower DAs, (466, 533MHz). But I've been asking if there is a work around. Strangely enough you can use a QS CPU with a little work. See here, <http://bbs.xlr8yourmac.com/ubb/Forum11/HTML/001005.html>, here <http://www.shanescot.com/photos/bw_mod4/index-Pages/Image1.html>, here, <http://homepage.mac.com/josephk/G4_mod.html> and here, <http://homepage.mac.com/josephk/G4pics/12V_connector.jpg>. So what I'm asking people is if this same operation or something similar can allow the slower DAs to run the faster DAs CPUs. However if you REALLY want the fastest DA you can get, go here, <http://eshop.macsales.com/MyOWC/Upgrades.cfm? model=149&type=Processor&TI=%23TimeFormat%28Now%28%29%2C+&shoupgrds=Show +Upgrades>, (you might have to string that address together as it is so long.) This is a list of available G4 upgrades including the new one from PowerLogix which is 2GHz.
