Well, I updated a Sawtooth 450 to Dual 450 and it made a big difference.

What upgrade did you do? I mean, what board mfr did you use?

All of the ones I've seen won't support dual processing on a Sawtooth.

All the best,
Ken N.

Whether or not a given Sawtooth (aka the original AGP Graphics G4) will support a dual processor configuration depends on the version of an ASIC used on the motherboard. There are ways to determine if your motherboard will support a multi-processor machine. I tested mine, it "passed", and I got an Apple dual 450 card... if memory serves, I bought it from someone on the [SWAP] list. Had to buy the dual heat sink elsewhere - that was a killer because there weren't any on eBay at the time so I got soaked by a guy on the web who specializes in hard to find Apple parts. Anyway, machine runs like a top with dual processors. If you look at, for instance, OtherWorld Computing's web site, they explain about the motherboard ASIC issue and how to test your board.

Don't forget the cool USB snake light I got on the [SWAP] list... all of which is guarded by my Anita-chan action figure. (What?!?!? You haven't seen "R.O.D The TV" yet?? Get with the program!)}
