I came in late on this thread and this may be a bit off the main topic so I do apologize.
So you are using OS9 on a server and connecting to it with OS X boxes? I did the same thing with 9 & Panther (10.3.early something) and had a problem with the X boxes staying connected. The X boxes would time out at random lengths. Changed the server os to 8.6 and it¹s fine. I haven¹t tried it since the 10.3.9 update and was wondering what OS you are using and if you have had any problems?
