I suspect the loudspeaker has died on my G3 B&W (is there one??) it makes no chimes when powering up, otherwise it works just fine. I am not sure as I am Deaf, and in any event, I would like to add a sound card to it, so that I can pick up system sounds and such like. Obviously it needs to be a PCI card - can I just pop in any old bog standard PCI sound cards - don't want 7.1 surround, let alone a full THX array of speakers, just for a speaker or two. Are there power issues and the such like? Cheapest I could find was this item, an Asonic 4 Channel Soundcard C-media 8738 Chipset 3D from www.ebuyer.co.uk for £3.99?

Best wishes

Myles
