I was considering the purchase of a dual 1.6 GHz Gigadesigns upgrade for my Digital Audio powermac, but I found a note at Daystar's web site (which are apparently actually Gigadesigns upgrades) saying that the 7447A processor does not support deep sleep. Is this true? I find no mention of this on Gigadesigns' web site. If so that's certainly a deal killer. Yes, I realize the 7455 upgrades are actually faster, but the Dual 1.6 GHz 7447A upgrade is much cheaper than the dual 1.33 GHz 7455 upgrade, and would still be a substantial upgrade from my current Dual 533 MHz DA. Also the 7447A is suppose to use less power, which I hope means less heat and less fan noise. But if it can't sleep then it's certainly right out.

Steve
