In my case it was my son trying to play his peanut butter & jelly sandwich in our VHS deck and I couldn't figure out why the tape wouldn't eject. ;^D
Heh -- FWIW, I once made a chunk of my living repairing VCR's. I lost count of how many times that happened. The other things were small toys and cat hair. I suppose little kids think they can see the toys on TV if they stick 'em in there.
