I'm not sure that it matters, but are you using the Software Update
function in the System Preference Panel, where you can look your
currently installed updates or from the drop-down selection under the
Apple in the upper left of your screen?
Try the Software Update function in the System Preference Panel, and
see what updates you have installed. Perhaps you have selected Download
important Install updates in the background.
