The Adaptec 2930 SCSI card isn't bootable.

Yes it is. I've been using this card for years and it has been bootable from the start. No need for any driver in OS 9. Card works in Jaguar and Panther aswell since I last tried with my Jaz drive (drivers for this card are built-in the OS). Guess Tiger should work aswell. Perhaps you're confused with the Adaptec 2906 card, this card is not bootable. But if you have the 2930 card and it's not bootable in your B&W G3 check to make sure you have the jumper in the right position: <http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/supporteditorial.jsp? sess=no&language=English+US&prodkey=PD2930U_compatibility&cat=/Product/ APD-2930U&fromPage=suppedindexprod>
