I'm sorry to be late to this discussion, however I have a G4 350, AGP
and I have OS X 10.3.9 on one partition of an IBM 60GB drive and 9.2.2
on another partition and I don't have any problems starting from either
one or the other.

Hey Harry thank you for the response, the problem for me was that in my
450MHZ B & W I had 2 SATA drives on a SATA controller card and a third
drive on the ATA system bus and whenever I restarted to OS 9.2.2 which
was on the ATA system bus and attempted to return to one of the SATA
drive which are running OS X then these drives where not seen in the OS
9.2.2 startup control panel so I couldn't restart in ten from the OS
9.2.2 drive without inserting a OS X CD-rom. The OS X drives were on a
SIIG SATA controller cad. I have since switched controller cards and
replaced the SIIG SATA controller card with a Firmtek Seritek SATA
controller card and no longer have the problem. Thanks everyone for
taking the time to respond.
Brad
