I think I've presented this issue before, but I don't
remember for sure... I am wondering how to
troubleshoot an internal GV modem on my b&w. When I
try to dialup with this modem, it tells me that there
is a problem with the modem. That's all. I wish it
would be a bit more specific. It worked up until I
swapped out processors and went to a g4/500 sonnet. I
inspected the ribbon strip, and there appears to be no
damage that would indicate that I shut it in the case
inadvertently. Everything seems to be connected
securely.
Unfortunately I don't know of anyone else around the
locale that has a b&w that I could test with that
would indicate that the modem caught a bit of static
electricity. So I wondered if anyone here might be of
assistance...
Configs--g4'd/500 b&w, 768mb ram, 80g->9.2 on first
1/2 and 10.3 on 2nd 1/2 partitions.
TIA
Jason
