Hello again. I ordered a Radeon 7000 card through eBay (it should
arrive soon) and I have been toying with the idea of performing the
hack to plug it in my G3AIO's integrated monitor described in this
site:
http://www.shanecurd.com/projects/aioproject.htm
I am however wondering if anyone has done this (successfully I mean)
and if anyone could fill in certain blanks left by that site.
First, Mr Shane is a little vague about how he connects the RGB
connector to the 3 remaining BNC wires. As I read, there are 6 holes in
the connector ( the Red, Green and Blue ones as well as their
corresponding Ground ). I'm sure the answer is probably an obvious one
but it escapes me.
Secondly, the site mentions at the end an addendum about using Open
Firmware to disable the onboard video, thus enabling us (maybe) to use
Quartz Extreme. Does anyone know how to use Open Firmware (I'm a little
fuzzy about that).
Thanks in advance to anyone in the list with the answers.
