To all that have suggested I get a newer video card, it is not an
option. I believe my computer has plenty of graphics power, just to be
lacking a bit in the processor. I will be putting in a 550MHz or 600MHz
G4 when I have the money. I will then be getting an ATTO SCSI card.
That way the program I use, x plane, will load much quicker. This
program is claimed to require an 800MHz processor, yet it runs fine on
my 450MHz G4. Just a little rough but I think a 600MHz G4 along with my
current setup will be enough. I just built this system and I am not yet
done putting some money into it. I see little reason for me to spend
money on a newer Mac. If I can sell my 9200 for the same price it would
cost to buy a faster card, by all means Id do it. But I doubt that
would be the case.
Anyway xbench is not a proper benchmarking utility for OCing Radeon
cards I guess, so I have dl a couple different ones I will try those out
and see how much perfromance I actually gain. The reason I want to do
this is because its free, and Id get more performance out of my
computer, even if its only as little as 5 percent.
