The worst thing about the Minis (and iBooks) are that they're
shipped with slow RPM hard drives. Replace that with a good PC brand
7200 RPM hard drive and it makes a big difference. The rest of the
Mini - the processor, busses and RAM - are fast enough. But I wonder
if they fry after a while.
Good points, I chose the DA in the end for it's 133Mhz bus and I
don't think anything will fry too early on the Mini.
My mini hasn't spent any time turned off since I got it soon after they
came out (beside the time it took me changed the HD and overclocked it
to 1.5GHz about a week after I got it)
Showing no signs of frying yet - The main reason I want to switch the
board in my adapted ATX case (Currently occupied by a B&W Rev.1 board
with a 5-disk SCSI array) with a DA or QS motherboard (thanks to the AGP
4x) is so I can flash my 'spare' AGP 6800 Ultra (I switched to PCI
Express) with a Mac rom and stick one of the dual CPU upgrades in it.
