Well, after having awful luck with two superdrives in my G5, (the stock drive (Sony?)had strange buzzing noises, and the second (Hitachi?) wouldn't read some discs,) I pulled the DVR 107 from my Yikes, and put it in the G5. That 107 has been awesome, has worked for over a year now and never had an issue. Wouldn't go with anything else. Of course, if you don't like Pioneer, this anecdote loses a bit of its value. Any way you can throw the 106 into a Win box and then get tech support from Pioneer?
