OS X will not boot from a slave drive
Where did you get that idea? It was true for beige G3s, unless using
XPostFacto, but Sawtooths are not hampered in that way.
If jumpered as master and slave and on the same ribbon cable, make
sure the slave drive is connected to the middle connector.
, so make sure the OS X drive is set to master (drive 0) and the OS
9 drive is set to slave (drive 1) The settings "M," "S," and "CS"
are usually marked by the jumper pins. Don't use "CS" unless you
have a cable select ribbon or if your motherboard does not support it.
