Just wanna say in my experience ATA drives are NOT reliable. What percentage
of drives have you noticed fail in a year? Because all but one of my IDE
drives have failed. So thats 4 gone bad, 1 is still working. Im not saying an
ide drive wont last a year, im saying in my experience it probably wont last 4
years. maybe its not a problem to some of you who replace your hardware every
few years, but I expect a drive to still be working after 4 years of use.
Now SCSI has never let me down except for one particular brand, and ive had
well
over a dozen SCSI drives.
