Hi all,
I have an interesting question in relation to RAM in a G3 PowerPC
(details, as follows)
iMac Model No.: M5521
400 MHz PowerPC G3
Machine Speed: 400 MHz
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
iMac (Version 83.2)
If I put in two 256Mb single-sided RAM chips (@ PC133), I get 512
Mb RAM, however if I put in two 512Mb double-sided RAM chips (@PC
133) I get "zilch".
Why is this so?
And, if I put into my G3 Beige, two double-sided 256Mb single-sided
RAM chips (@ PC133), I get 512 Mb RAM, but if I put in two 256Mb
double-sided RAM chips(@ PC133), I only get 256Mb ...
Are you confused yet? I sure am!
Is there any chance that the 512Mb double-sided RAM chips will work
in my G3 Beige?
