Lots of people have done much benchmarking and determined overclocking the
bus speed in any Mac does almost nothing. Sonnet has said in the past that the
bus speed of a G3 is not as important as earlier processors because it has
such a fast and large cache. Im not saying dont overclock your bus speed. In
fact, Id recommend it. Early beiges can make it to 83MHz. Im just saying that
I dont think bus speed affects the performance of a computer in any great way.
To put this matter to rest, I will benchmark my beige at identical CPU
speeds of 333MHz, but with a 66MHz bus vs an 83MHz bus. Furthermore, I will
test
my Sawtooth since it has settings for 70MHz to 133MHz.
